About:

Lullaby-19 was inspired during the lockdown of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. A friend of mine told me started crying when her son asked her why he couldn’t go play with his friends. I began to wonder, “what kind of lullaby would I sing to my child in this situation,” and I wrote this as a virtual choir piece for singers of the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus.
